Amy Sudberry

Hello Fabulous Fifth Graders and Families!

My name is Ms. Sudberry, and I will be teaching fifth grade for the 2020-2021 school year. I am thrilled to be starting my first year of teaching at San Antonio Elementary School!

I was raised in King City, CA until about the age of 10, so I am very familiar with how wonderful it is to grow up in a small tight-knit community resembling that of Lockwood! I spent the rest of my adolescence growing up in Paso Robles, CA, until I moved to San Luis Obispo for my college career.

I attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and received my undergraduate degree in Communication Studies. I continued on with my education at Brandman University where I received a Master of Arts in Teaching alongside my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I come from a family of educators who teach all over various counties, but I feel beyond lucky that I get to start my own educational journey here at San Antonio Elementary School! ߙ¼/p>

A few of my favorite hobbies and activities include spending time at the beach, hiking, and spending time with my family! I love to travel whenever I get the chance, and ultimately love all the joys teaching brings me! I currently reside in Paso Robles, CA.

My Teaching Philosophy: I believe students should come to school every day, feeling loved knowing that they belong. I will greet each of them at the virtual door, welcoming them into their second home. I want my students to take risks because that's what learning is; making mistakes and growing from them. I hope for them to be bold to try and try again, where they have me there to cheer them on the whole way. I am beyond excited for this school year! I'm so happy to share it with you! ߘʼ/p>
